The novel is greatly influenced by personal experiences, as well as the dreams that everyone holds within.
Corbitt's journey as an author of a novel began as a daydream on one of her occasional visits to the North Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains. Lynn is always up for adventure. Traveling scenic routes and taking many wrong turns, “The Cure-Bearer” was the response to her most discussed “what if”: What if you discovered that something magical was waiting for you?
